Ingredients
1 cup whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract (for vanilla ice cream)
1/4 cup cocoa powder (for chocolate ice cream)
Pinch of salt (optional, for chocolate ice cream)
Instructions
Prepare the Base: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, and sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved.
For vanilla ice cream, add the vanilla extract.
For chocolate ice cream, add the cocoa powder and a pinch of salt, whisking until smooth.
Freeze the Mixture: Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container, leaving about 1/2 inch of space at the top for expansion. Secure the lid and freeze for 24 hours.
Process the Ice Cream: Remove the pint container from the freezer and place it into the Ninja Creami machine. Lock the container in place and select the “Ice Cream” setting. Let the machine process until the ice cream is smooth and creamy.
Serve and Enjoy: Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones and enjoy immediately. Store any leftovers in the pint container in the freezer.
Notes
For a richer texture, use full-fat milk and heavy cream.
If the ice cream is too hard after freezing, let it sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping.
Add mix-ins like chocolate chips, crushed cookies, or fruit after processing for extra flavor and texture.
