Cheesy Chicken-Filled Crescents

These Cheesy Chicken-Filled Crescents are golden, flaky, and filled with a creamy, cheesy chicken mixture. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or easy dinner idea, they come together quickly and are always a crowd-pleaser!

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 crescent rolls 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 rolls) crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix filling: In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well blended.
  • Prepare dough: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  • Assemble crescents: Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll up tightly, starting from the wide end to the pointed tip.
  • Brush with butter: Lightly brush each rolled crescent with melted butter for a golden crust.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, honey mustard, or marinara.

Notes

  • Make Ahead: Prepare and refrigerate unbaked crescents for up to 24 hours before baking.
  • Freezing Option: Freeze unbaked crescents on a tray, then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake from frozen, adding an extra 5 minutes.
  • Cheese Variations: Swap cheddar with mozzarella, pepper jack, or gouda for different flavors.
  • Spicy Version: Add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce for heat.
